We aggregate and summarise the most helpful Nissan Qashqai +2 1.6 dCi reviews from the best publications.
Nissan’s new 1.6 dCi engine replaces the ageing 2.0 dCi, with the aim of maintaining performance, while reducing emissions and improving fuel efficiency. Nissan claims as much as 60.1mpg combined for the 1.6, and emissions of 123g/km of CO2, which drops the Qashqai+2 1.6 dCi into band D for road tax, with a bill of £95 a year.
True to Nissan’s word, performance is pretty good. There’s plenty of torque available from low revs, and suitable gearing means there’s decent performance available while keeping revs down on the motorway, to the benefits of economy.
Currently there's only one review, the critic says that there’s very little vibration or rattle from the engine, which makes restarts from the stop-start-equipped models less intrusive. It’s a very good engine, and worth picking over the larger units in the range.
