Critics are impressed with the Qashqai 2.0, the flagship petrol powered Qashqai gets some fairly impressive reviews. There’s a good amount of power on offer, it’s not too expensive for a Qashqai and fuel economy is good for a car with such a specification. However, it doesn’t appear to be the most obvious choice for most buyers.
Thanks to the meaty 140bhp and its linear delivery, the 2.0 petrol motor is a very quiet and smooth engine, and well suited to dealing with fairly heavy loads and acceleration to higher speeds.
Fuel consumption of 36.2 mpg (37.2 mpg with the automatic gearbox) and vehicle tax of £210 is reasonable, but note that there are engines in the Qashqai which will be a lot cheaper to run.
If you do a lot of motorway miles every year, or regurlaly carry full loads, then the 2.0 Petrol is worth a look. Otherwise consider some of the different engines.
The 2.0 dCi does get more impressive reviews. It's more economical, has lots of torque and many experts think it's a better choice.

Read full review...the Qashqai is a capable, likeable and interesting hatchback with excellent levels of refinement that offers a refreshingly different approach to family transport.
