Volkswagens that are more affordable than you might think

VW’s range is stuffed with great cars led by popular models such as the Golf and the Tiguan SUV. You can get a sizeable discount through carwow on these models but, if you take a deeper look through VW’s range, you might find even bigger savings on some slightly less common models. All discounts are accurate at the time of writing.

Here are some great VWs with fantastic discounts through carwow:

VW Sharan – £7,900 average saving

The VW Sharan is one of the largest cars the brand builds, making it an incredibly practical proposition for families. This seven-seater is an even easier pill to swallow when you factor in the simply massive £7,900 average discount offered through carwow.

VW Passat Alltrack – £7,400 average saving

The VW Passat Alltrack takes the regular Passat Estate and raises it, adds four-wheel drive and special plastic cladding to keep it going when off road. One of the models issues was its comparatively high price, but that’s easy to overlook with carwow’s vast £7,400 average discount.

VW Touran – £6,400 average saving

If you want seven-seat practicality but don’t want the full-size Sharan, the VW Touran might be a great choice for you. It still has a vast interior with only a slightly more modest boot compared to its larger sibling. The Touran’s £6,400 average saving is equally impressive.

VW Passat Estate – £6,500 average saving

When you take into account the £6,500 average saving on the VW Passat Estate, the case for the BMW 3 Series Touring and Audi A4 Avant becomes that little bit harder to justify. What’s more, its pleasant cabin demonstrates why VW has such an enviable reputation for building high quality products.

VW Passat – £6,200 average saving

If you’re not sold on the long-roof styling of the Passat Estate, take a look at the regular VW Passat saloon. It has all the same benefits as the larger car with a marginally lower asking price. A £6,200 average saving also makes the Passat as easy on the wallet as it is to drive on the road.

VW Jetta – £5,800 average saving

The VW Jetta is slightly easy to overlook with the popular Golf sitting below it and the larger Passat above. It’s worth a second look, however, because its larger boot and saloon styling might make it more tempting to some buyers. A £5,800 average saving makes the Jetta a tempting proposition.

VW Scirocco – £5,800 average saving

The VW Scirocco is the Golf’s more stylish sibling, blending coupe styling with hatchback practicality. It’s fun to drive and has a range of powerful engines shared with the sportiest VW models. Average savings of £5,800 mean you can drive in style without breaking the bank.

VW Golf SV – £5,700 average saving

If you like the look of the Golf but need a little more space without going for the larger Touran, check out the VW Golf SV. With a taller roof and a slightly larger boot the Golf SV offers everything its smaller sibling does with an even bigger £5,700 average saving.

VW Beetle Cabriolet – £5,500 average saving

Just because you want to save money doesn’t mean you can’t be stylish in the process – the VW Beetle Cabriolet is available through carwow with average discounts as high as £5,500. That said, you’ll be having too much wind-in-your-hair fun to care about the lighter burden on your wallet.

VW Beetle Dune – £4,900 average saving

If you want to stand out in the car park, the VW Beetle Dune might be the car for you. Starting with the Beetle as a base, the Dune adds toughened off-road inspired parts and a selection of the nicer engines in the Beetle range. A £4,900 average saving means you might be able to add on the pretty deep yellow paint from these press images.

VW Beetle – £4,700 average saving

If you don’t need the frivolities of the Beetle Cabriolet or Dune, the standard VW Beetle still has acres of charm. With smooth, powerful engines shared with the rest of the group and VW’s ever-present sense of quality, a £4,700 average saving is merely the icing on this cake.
