We’ve already seen the Vintage ’57 edition and the Ron Arad special and now it’s the turn of the hot Abarth 500.
Recalling either the twin-colour paint jobs of the original Fiat 500s or the late-70s sounds of The Specials or Madness (depending on your point of view), the new Abarth 500 Bi-Colore gets special black and grey two-tone paint. Additionally, it gets natural leather upholstery, privacy glass and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The car still gets the usual leather steering wheel, twin exhausts, fog lights, climate control, CD, MP3 and Bluetooth connectivity from the standard Abarth. It also gets the same 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder putting 135hp to the ground through a five-speed manual gearbox for a 0-62mph time of 7.9 seconds and a 127mph top speed.
The Bi-Colore is a very limited edition and each of the 50 examples costs just £15,990 – a good price for what will, inevitably, be an exclusive edition. If you’ve been looking at an Abarth 500, this is the one to want.
We’ll be covering every special edition of the 500 as it approaches the end of its life but, while you wait for the new car, take a look at our reviews of the cars it needs to beat – the Mini hatchback and the Alfa Romeo Mito. Then head over to our car configurator to see how much you could save on your next car.
