Ahead of the GT model’s bow at next month’s Geneva Motor Show, Kia have revealed the specification and pricing structure in the UK for their 3 door pro_cee’d models.

Sporting a pair of 1.6 litre engines – a 133hp GDi petrol and a 126hp CRDi turbodiesel – the pro_cee’d range has been delineated from Kia’s usual 1, 2, 3 badging in an effort to set the car apart from their other offerings. Instead they come in an entry level S trim and a better appointed SE version. Each is available with either engine and a six speed manual transmission with Kia’s ISG stop-start system, or a six speed dual clutch system available on the petrol SE only.

Ahead of the GT model’s bow at next month’s Geneva Motor Show, Kia has revealed the specification and pricing structure in the UK for its 3-door pro_cee’d models.

Sporting a pair of 1.6 litre engines – a 133hp GDi petrol and a 126hp CRDi turbodiesel – the pro_cee’d range has been delineated from Kia’s usual 1, 2, 3 badging in an effort to set the car apart from their other offerings.

Instead, they come in an entry level S trim and a better appointed SE version. Each is available with either engine and a six speed manual transmission with Kia’s ISG stop-start system, or a six speed dual clutch system available on the petrol SE only.

Plumping for the S gets you plenty of toys to keep you busy, with automatic lights, one touch electric windows, electrically-operated, heated and folding door mirrors, cruise control, reversing sensors, air conditioning and a 6 CD radio with iPod, USB and Bluetooth connectivity as standard offerings.

The SE nets you a dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing wipers with de-ice function and a 7 inch touchscreen European satnav. A whole host of stainless steel accoutrements lets you know you’re in the higher spec model, while the inch-larger 17″ anthracite wheels show it from the outside.

The pro_cee’d models are available to order today and all come with Kia’s seven year/100,000 mile warranty. In addition, the 1.6 CRDi S model’s 100g/km CO2 rating slots it neatly into VED band A, for zero-rate road licence fund and exemption from London Congestion Charge.
