What am I looking at?
The result of a Spanish fashion house called "MANGO" styling an ever-fashionable city car, this is the special edition "SEAT Mii by MANGO".
As is the style for special editions, it's a fully decked-out Mii with special paint and upholstery options.
The Mii by MANGO comes in two paint finishes - Black or the exclusive slightly flesh-toned "Nude", as seen in these images. There's also MANGO-specific exterior side mouldings, dark grey 15-inch alloy wheels and badges to delineate this range-topping status symbol from lesser Miis.
On the inside there's additional accents and yet more Nude highlights along with a leather steering wheel and gearknob. Mii by MANGO purchasers get a special handbag hook on the passenger side too.
What powers it?
Just like every other Mii, a 1.0 3 cylinder petrol - though there's no word on whether it'll be the 60hp or 75hp version. Neither engine will get the Mii to 60mph in less than 13s, but they're good for 95-105g/km CO2 to see you paying little to no Vehicle Excise Duty each year.
How much will it cost me?
With the order books not yet open ahead of the Mii by MANGO's July launch, prices are not yet on the table, but you can expect a small premium atop the Mii's pretty reasonable prices - around 11,000.
Though it's not a limited edition - it'll slot in at the top of SEAT's Mii range in the UK - the first 1,000 buyers will receive special Mii by MANGO accessories. An umbrella, a handbag and another as-yet unannounced accessory. All of these items will be designed by fans who enter an online competition on SEAT and MANGO's Facebook pages.
The Mii is one of a trio of cars sharing a significant proportion of components, all built by the Volkswagen-Audi group, so its natural rivals are its siblings - the VW up! and the Skoda CitiGo. Also getting a look-in at this budget would be Toyota's iQ but the image-conscious buyers SEAT is aiming at with this special edition will be very hard to drag away from the same-budget FIAT 500.
