Suzuki's Swift Sport could be the most underrated hot hatchback on sale.
With 136 horsepower to call upon it's not the quickest of the modern breed, but for a mix of fun, peppy performance and affordability there's little to touch it this side of buying something already used and abused.
Following on from theSwift SZ-L edition launched earlier this month - aimed at those with a slightly smaller budget - Suzuki is now launching a limited run of 100 Swift Sport SZ-R edition models.
For only 500 more than the regular Swift Sport, each car is finished in Cosmic Black paintwork with an Ablaze Red roof, rear spoiler and door mirrors. Each car also gets SZ-R side badging.
Inside, the Swift Sport's comfortable and supportive sports seats remain, and each car also gets uniquely-numbered door sill guards, a red accented gear shift knob and red trimmed carpet mats.
That's in addition to all the Sport's usual standard equipment - seven airbags, automatic air conditioning, cruise control, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, HID headlamps, darkened rear glass and 17-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels.
Performance is identical to the regular Swift Sport, with 62 mph passing you by in 8.7 seconds and a top speed of 121 mph - plus 44.1 mpg combined economy.
