The Mini inspired by Goodwood features a unique interior designed by Rolls-Royce. It will be the most luxurious Mini yet, and likely the most expensive too!
The special interior is made from materials found on Rolls-Royces, such as lambswool floor mats, luxurious leather and walnut burr veneers. The roof is lined in a cashmere blend and the switches have a piano black finish.
Standard equipment will include a Harman Kardon stereo, xenon headlights and automatic climate control. The paint colour, called Diamond Black, was designed by Rolls-Royce, though Minis Reef Blue will also be available.
The limited edition model is based on a standard Cooper S, though features the bonnet found on the Cooper D. 1,000 examples will be built, theres no word on the price yet.
Theres an increasingly large market for luxury small cars. The price tag is expected to be north of 50,000, but theres no doubt this special edition will sell out quickly. Whilst most people would question whether nicer interior materials could ever be worth paying so much for, there are many buyers who wont hesitate to bring out their cheque books.
