Rolls-Royce have just unveiled photos and details of their Year of the Dragon special edition models. Its the latest in a long line of Chinese special editions from a luxury car brand.
2012 will be the Year of the Dragon, so to celebrate Rolls-Royce are showing a range of limited edition bespoke options that their customers can order.
On the outside of the Rolls-Royce Phantom, there will be a hand-painted dragon on either side. Unfortunately no photos have been released yet of how this would look, wed imagine itll be slightly more subtle than the one painted on the Kia Soul!
Inside, dragons will be embroidered on the headrest and cushions. On the wood panelling of the glove-box a dragon will also be drawn, as well as custom LED illuminated tread plates with the words Year of the Dragon 2012.
Its probably the least tacky limited edition for the Chinese market weve seen. The memory of the Chinese Edition 911 is still unfortunately fresh in our mind.
Were slightly gutted that Rolls-Royce didnt do a special edition for this year though. Its currently the Year of the Rabbit, which would have been interesting…
