Known as the 595 Trofeo Edition, only 250 examples will be sold to UK customers. It gains a generous heap of equipment for a very modest increase in price, made all the more tempting by a special finance offer.
The upgrades to the Trofeo Edition over the standard Abarth 595 are mainly cosmetic. Brake calipers and wheel centre caps are colour coded to contrast one of the three exterior paint colours (red, black, or grey – the latter is pictured above), as well as a unique set of 17-inch alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, and specific ‘Trofeo Edition’ decals and badges.
All of these upgrades would ordinarily cost an additional £1,275, yet the Trofeo is priced at £15,150 – £540 more than the regular 595.
The 595 is powered by a 140 horsepower 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine, capable of a 7.9-second 0-62mph time and a top speed of 127mph. Resist the urge to drive flat out everywhere, and it’ll return a claimed 43.5mpg.
Buyers who choose to take Abarth’s finance option will be treated to an offer they can’t refuse. Via a Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) deal, the 595 is available for £199 per month on a three year agreement. Abarth even helps out with a £595 deposit contribution, meaning that the customer is required to pay a more reasonable £1,865 up front.
