BMW has released three new edition 3 Series models – Edition Sport Line Shadow, Edition Luxury Line Purity and Edition M Sport Shadow. Additionally, a range update includes LED headlights and LED fog lamps will now be standard on BMW 3 Series models – as well as Sunset Orange being added as a new colour option. The multifunction instrument display is now available as an option on the 3 Series – displaying driving information on a display screen built into the instrument cluster.
2017 BMW Edition Sport Line Shadow
The Edition Sport Line Shadow adds black inserts to the headlights and brakelights, new trim pieces around the ‘kidney grille’ and inserts in the cars’ lower bumper duct – creating a menacing look. The car’s exhausts are finished in chrome black, while the 18-inch alloys finished in Jet black set this model apart from the standard trim.
The cabin features a contrasting dashboard seam, a new sports steering wheel and sports seats finished in part-leather. The interior also boasts a new trim option – Dark Aluminium Carbon with Pearl Gloss Chrome accent strips.
2017 BMW Edition Luxury Line Purity
The Edition Luxury Line adds satin-finished aluminium exterior trim pieces on the cars side windows, bumper inserts, grille slats and grille surrounds, rear bumper cover and the exhausts. This version can either be fitted with 17-inch alloys finished in satin aluminium or larger 19-inch alloys.
The cabin is finished in a new colour option – cognac. Wooden interior trim pieces, accented with Pearl Gloss Chrome, also add an additional touch of luxury to the interior. A sports steering wheel, sports seats and dashboard contrasting stitching are also included.
2017 BMW Edition M Sport Shadow
The Edition M Sport Shadow version includes black headlamp and brakelight clusters, black kidney grilles, exhausts finished in Chrome Black, black bumper inserts and LED fog lamps. Sporty 19-inch alloy wheels finished in Orbit Grey are available as an option.
The interior features sports seats in black leather with blue contrasting seams, Dark Aluminium Carbon interior trim pieces with Pearl Gloss Chrome accenting and contrasting dashboard stitching.
2017 BMW Edition driving
All 3 Series feature a grippy, engaging driving experience. Keen drivers should go for the Edition M Sport Shadow model that features M sports suspension, M aerodynamics package, 18-inch M light alloy wheels, M leather-covered steering wheel, roof lining in Anthracite, M door sills slats and a ‘Driving Experience Control’ – a selectable driving mode controller that includes a Sport+ selectable drive mode.
