Suzuki Swift gets tweaks for 2015

Suzuki has revealed some subtle revisions the Swift hatchback range. The Ford Fiesta rival receives more efficient engine tech in the all-wheel-drive model, with improved economy and lower emissions.

The SZ4 4×4 is now fitted with a tweaked 1.2-litre engine. Thanks to the introduction of twin fuel injectors, the engine is now able to burn fuel more efficiently. As a result, official fuel economy figures have climbed to 58.8mpg, while a 15g/km reduction of CO2 emissions drops the car into a lower tax band. At £30 per year, the new model is £80 cheaper to run than the outgoing car.

In addition to the standard equipment of remote central locking, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, and a USB function to connect mobile devices to the audio system, five-door versions now feature electric rear windows as standard.

Prices for the Swift start at £8,999 – £2,251 less than the most basic Volkswagen Polo – while the updated 4×4 model costs £12,099.
