Nissan Micra gets new N-TEC trim with sat-nav

Nissan has revealed a new mid-range trim for the Micra supermini. N-TEC slots between Acenta and top-spec Tekna and gets an infotainment system, parking slot measurement and Bluetooth.

We’re looking at the most important features of the new trim level. Simply have to have one now? Put the Nissan Micra in our car configurator to see how much carwow could help you save.

New standard equipment

The new model comes as standard with a 5.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with sat nav and Bluetooth. The infotaiment system also includes Google send-to-car technology – allowing drivers to plan their journey on their computer and send it to the car electronically.

You also get parking slot measurement as standard – a clever piece of technology that looks for parking spaces as you drive, then alerts the driver if it finds one suitably sized. It can even account for differing levels of parking confidence.

Other features include rear parking sensors, automatic lights and wipers, climate control, 16-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights and tinted windows.

Engine choices and interior trim

The interior gets a special gloss black centre console, a leather wrapped steering wheel and unique blue stitching. You get a choice of a 79hp 1.2-litre petrol engine with a manual gearbox, or a supercharged 97hp 1.2-litre unit with Nissan’s automatic CVT ‘box.

Price and release date

The Nissan Micra N-TEC costs from £12,400 and is currently available to order. It will be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show later this year with first models hitting the roads shortly after.
