Skoda Yeti Monte Carlo – more engines, more options

The Skoda Yeti range now offers buyers more choice than ever, with three new variants added to the Monte Carlo trim level. The small crossover competes against rivals including the Renault Captur and Suzuki Vitara.

Previously only available with the 148hp 2.0-litre diesel, Monte Carlo spec can now be paired with a 108hp version of the 2.0-litre TDI or a 108hp 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol. The latter is available with a choice of six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearboxes. Each engine choice is available with front-wheel drive only.

On the outside, the Yeti Monte Carlo features gloss black 17-inch alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights and LED tail lights. Items including the spoilers, front grille, door mirrors and roof are all finished in black.

The cabin gains a sportier look than the standard Yeti, too. A three-spoke leather steering wheel, sports front seats and special badging separate the model from others in the Yeti range.

Beyond this, the regular Yeti’s strengths remain. The cabin is spacious with plenty of room for the family and the boot can vary between 416 litres or more than 500 if the rear seats are slid forwards.
