Suzuki has announced the return of the Swift Special edition SZ-L spec to its line-up following successful sales of the Swift in 2015. This top-spec special edition trim level last appeared in 2014, but this time prices have dropped to £10,999 for the three-door model and £11,499 for the five-door.
The SZ-L is based on the popular Swift SZ3 which is well equipped as standard. It adds a unique exterior design with Gloss Black 16” Alloy wheels, rear upper spoiler and SZ-L badging. The SZ-L is available in seven colours including new Horizon Orange metallic which is available for the first time on the Swift; metallic paint is a £430 option.
Features on the special edition Swift include seven airbags, ESP, air conditioning, USB port, Bluetooth and LED daytime running lights. Further standard equipment on the SZ-L includes satellite navigation, DAB Radio, cruise control, a sport style steering wheel with silver stitching plus further silver stitching to the seats and gear lever boot.
The Swift SZ-L is powered by a 1.2-litre Dual VVT 94PS engine, which is one of the most powerful in its class, but also offers low emissions of just 116g/km CO2. Thanks to its low emissions road tax is just £30 after the first year and the car is capable of returning 56.5mpg on the official combined cycle.
