Volkswagen’s CC range has expanded with two extra models this month. They’re called the CC GT Black Edition and CC R-Line Black Edition.
These Black Editions will feature styling additions to enhance their existing CC GT and CC R-Line counterparts in the range, and cost from £29,150 on the road – that’s an extra £575 over the GT and R-Line models.
The standard Black Edition is… white
The exterior styling upgrades for each special edition extends to a black front grille, gloss black wing mirrors, black side window surround, electric sunroof and a set of their own individually designed 18-inch alloy wheels. Pure White will be the standard colour, and two versions of the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine will be available with either 147hp or 181hp.
A six-speed manual comes as standard, although a six-speed automatic is available should you wish the CC to change gears for you. 0-62mph times and top speeds are not affected regardless of your transmission choice with the 147hp version completing the run in 9.1 seconds and reaching 135mph. The 181hp version takes 8.1 seconds and reaches 145mph in comparison.
The interior on both GT and R-Line models have been treated to a set of black leather seats, carbon fibre-style door inserts and black piano inserts on the centre console.
What does the R-Line Black Edition get?
The CC R-Line Black Edition will feature a sportier three-spoke steering wheel with its own unique door sill protectors. You’ll also get the usual trinkets that set the R-Line apart from the GT, such as LED daytime running lights and a smattering of R-Line badges.
