About the Tiguan

The VW Tiguan is a posh-feeling and spacious SUV that’s comfy and safe – and it gives you a good view out over other cars. It’s not cheap, but it feels like a quality car.

The Tiguan’s exterior looks classy but doesn’t have any real flair, and the same goes the cabin. But looks aren’t everything – the dashboard and majority of the cabin feel solidly built, and there are posh-feeling soft-touch plastics almost everywhere you feel. The infotainment system is among the best on sale, but it’s a shame you don’t get satellite navigation on entry-level versions.

The cabin’s roomy too – kids and adults get plenty of room on the back seats, and the boot’s easily big enough to cope with a fortnight away with the kids.

Despite its size, the Tiguan isn’t a hard car to drive. Great all-round visibility means it isn’t difficult to park, and its choice of powerful engines mean it doesn’t have any problems accelerating up to motorway speeds. If the motorway is where you’ll spend most time then get your Tiguan with the 2.0-litre diesel engine with 150hp, or if you do more town driving then the 1.4-litre, 150hp petrol engine is a better – and smoother – bet.

Whichever you pick you can rest assured knowing you’re covered by VW’s latest safety systems. You can get the Tiguan with a four-wheel-drive system too, but it’s best for getting out of muddy car parks rather than attempting anything more challenging.

All told the Tiguan is a great all-round SUV that’s hard to fault – make sure you check it out if you’re looking for a new family car with a good view out.

Very good communication with Nick and able to complete an acceptable deal within a week. Impressive!

Jeremy bought a new Volkswagen Tiguan

Having already used this dealership to purchase a previous car I had always found them so helpful and attentive. Stephen McCreadie was himself very good in providing me with what I considered to be a good deal although as always the Trade In valuation was a bit lower than I anticipated. Would certainly recommend them based on my experience

robert bought a new Volkswagen Tiguan

The local dealers were rude and unhelpful Drove the 40 miles to VW Barnsley and it was worth every yard , Andy Chambers could not be faulted
