Save over £3,000 on a new Dacia Spring*

The Dacia Spring usually starts at £14,995, but through Carwow you can currently save up to £3,083 at the time of writing. This offer applies to the Extreme version, which comes with up to 140 miles of range on a single charge and features such as:
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- 10.0-inch infotainment display
- Front and rear parking sensors
- Rear camera
- 15-inch alloy wheels
The Dacia Spring also comes with 0% APR if you decide to get it through PCP finance. This is based on 36 months, a £2,828 deposit, an 8,000 annual mileage, for £152 per month.
Why consider the Dacia Spring?

I’d recommend the Dacia Spring because it’s one of the cheapest cars you can currently buy. It may be a tiny car, but its tall silhouette makes it surprisingly spacious inside. Four six-footers can just about squeeze in, and the 308-litre boot is bigger than a Vauxhall Corsa Electric’s and almost on a par with the Citroen e-C3.
The Dacia Spring’s driving performance is limited by its 45hp or 65hp motors, which offer acceptable but unexciting acceleration, though you can now get a 100hp version that should improve things. Handling is a weak point, with significant body lean in corners and low-grip tyres that fall short of most alternatives.
Running costs should be super low, though. It’s one of the more efficient EVs we’ve tested, and so the tiny battery pack won’t add too much to your electricity bill. Its range isn’t great though, coming in at up to 140 miles, so don’t expect to be taking many road trips. That said, if you’re looking for an EV for as little money as possible, then the Spring is worth a look.
Alternatives to the Dacia Spring
Here are some other electric options to consider:
- Hyundai Inster: Clever back seats but has cheap cabin plastics.
- Citroen e-C3: One of the cheapest EVs you can buy but it has a sub-200 mile range like the Spring.
- Renault 5 E-Tech: Fantastic styling inside and out but it’s cramped inside.
