Colour guide
Metallic - Cosmos black
Free
As with the standard Night black, Cosmos black looks smart on the EQB and there’s a pleasant level of metallic depth to it. That said, we’re not sure that it really adds all that much above Night black to justify its price tag.
Metallic - High tech silver
Free
If you want a shiny silver paint on your Mercedes EQB, then High Tech Silver will probably tick all the right boxes for you. This bright metallic shade looks suitably posh, and being an inoffensive colour it shouldn’t put buyers off when the time comes to sell the car on. Silvers are bad at hiding dirt and road grime marks, though, so regular car washes will be needed to keep this paint looking pristine.

Metallic - Mountain grey
Free
Mountain grey metallic is a perfectly nice colour, and one that largely works well on the EQB, but it falls into that trap of just being yet another metallic grey SUV on roads already packed with similar-looking cars. Safe, but predictable.
Metallic - Spectral blue
Free
Most of the EQB’s colour options are variations of blacks, greys and whites, so Spectral Blue already stands out as one of the Merc’s few non-monochrome paint choices. It may look like a fairly dark blue here, but under bright sunlight it becomes much lighter and more vivid, so it’s worth considering if you want a more eye-catching colour for your EQB.
Solid - Polar white
Free
Solid white is a tricky colour for an SUV to pull off, but the electric EQB just about manages it, thanks to the contrast effect of the plastic wheel-arch extensions.
Manufaktur metallic - Patagonia red
£200
This is a really good colour choice for the EQB. The contrast shades of the wheelarches and roof bars mean that it never looks too bright nor ostentatious, while the slab sides and chunky styling of the EQB look even more Tonka-Truck-like in this fire engine red. A bright red that really works.
Manufaktur magno - Mountain grey
£1,175
Any Manufaktur paint is going to look sharp, and the matte finish of this one lifts it above the standard metallic Mountain grey. It is going to be tricky to look after in the longer run though, and at this kind of price, we’re just not sure it’s worth the outlay.
