Why should you buy a Nissan Qashqai?

I’d recommend this car if you’re interested in buying a family SUV. It’s comfortable, has a practical interior and handsome styling. Tall occupants won’t struggle for space both front and back, and there are plenty of spaces to store smaller things. That said, its 504-litre boot is smaller than what you get in a VW Tiguan or a Hyundai Tucson.

There are two engines to choose from: an entry-level 1.3-litre mild hybrid petrol which comes in manual or automatic guise. We’d recommend opting for a hybrid version as it’s really impressive. When its electric motor kicks in, it’s as smooth and nippy as an electric car.

The Qashqai is also composed and comfortable to drive, no matter which engine you go for. It deals with potholes and speed bumps really well, and you get little wind noise on the motorway. That said, it’s not much fun on a country lane.
