The Nissan Qashqai has been given a makeover for 2024, but what else has changed besides the face?

  • New Nissan Qashqai revealed
  • Aggressive facelift for family SUV
  • New interior materials
  • Upgraded infotainment system with Google
  • Available to order this summer

This is the new Nissan Qashqai, and it’s been given a pretty extensive facelift to keep it up-to-date with alternatives such as the Kia Sportage and Volkswagen Tiguan.

Other than the obvious visual changes, the new Qashqai also features an updated interior, and more technology than before.

New Nissan Qashqai design

The outgoing Nissan Qashqai was always a smart-looking thing, however it was a bit conservative. Well this new one has been given plenty of design changes which go some way to rectify this.

The main upgrades can be found up front, where the grille is now much wider and more imposing than before. The headlights are also more neatly blended into the grille, a bit like a Hyundai Tucson.

Not much has changed down the side, however you now get 18-inch wheels as standard as opposed to the 17s you got before. There are also 19- and 20-inch options available.

Changes are pretty subtle at the rear. The taillights are the same shape as before, however they now feature a more modern LED signature to bring things up-to-date. The lower bumper has also been tweaked, and there is now an N-Design version on offer with more aggressive styling all-round.

New Nissan Qashqai interior and infotainment

While the overall interior layout remains the same as before, the new Nissan Qashqai has been given some upgrades to make things look and feel more premium throughout.

You can now get Alcantara trim on the dashboard, doors and centre console, while N-Design models get black leather and Alcantara seats. Mid-spec cars and above also get ambient lighting as standard.

In addition to the new materials, you now get Google services built into the infotainment system. This means you can use apps like Google Maps without pairing your phone, and you can use Google’s voice assistant to do things like turn on the heated seats or set your destination. Apps like Spotify are also available to download from the Google Play store.

When can I buy the new Nissan Qashqai?

The Nissan Qashqai will go on sale in the summer of this year, however you can expect to see a small increase in the starting price. This is because the old entry-level model has been dropped, so the new car is likely to cost from around £30,000.
