Brabus is best-known for turning up the wick on Mercedes-AMG models with bonkers bodykits and uprated performance, and this is its latest creation: the Brabus 1000.
It starts out in life as a Mercedes-AMG GT 63S E-Performance, which is already ballistically fast, and gets a bigger engine, more power and some aerodynamic tweaks as well. All this comes at a pretty hefty price though, because this thing costs £386,000.
Remember, you can buy a brand new or used car right here on Carwow. And you can sell your car, too. We’re here to help you through every step of your car-changing journey.
New Brabus 1000 engine and performance
Let’s start with the most important upgrade: the engine. As standard, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63S E-Performance comes with a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, paired with an electric motor to make a combined 816hp.

Brabus then takes this engine and bores out the cylinders to turn it into a 4.4-litre V8, and fits it with uprated pistons and new turbochargers. The result is a combined 1,000hp and an earth-shattering 1,620Nm of torque. It’s actually capable of making 1,820Nm of torque, but Brabus had to wind it back to protect the gearbox.
The Brabus 1000 will do 0-60mph in just 2.6 seconds – down from 2.9 seconds in the standard car. It’s also around 0.3 of a second quicker than a Ferrari 296 GTS, and the top speed is electronically limited to 200mph.
New Brabus 1000 design and interior
It’s all well and good having all this extra performance, but when you’re spending this sort of money on a car you probably want it to look like something special. Well luckily for you, the Brabus 1000 doesn’t look like your average Mercedes.

You get plenty of carbon fibre. The new front splitter is made of the stuff, and it’s been tested in a wind tunnel to make sure the car remains as aerodynamic as possible. The forged alloy wheels are also unique to this car, measuring 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear.

Moving to the back of the car you have a massive spoiler, as well as a much more aggressive-looking lower diffuser than the standard AMG GT.

The interior also gets some Brabus love to remind you that you spent almost £400,000 on a bespoke AMG. It’s been completely retrimmed in fine leather, and there’s even more carbon fibre on the dashboard. The red air vents and trim accents are a strong look as well, though they may not be to everyone’s taste.
