Save £4,700 on a new Chery Tiggo 8*

The Chery Tiggo 8 usually starts at £28,545, but through Carwow you can currently save up to £4,700 at the time of writing. This offer applies to the Summit version, which comes with a 204hp 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid engine and features such as:
- 15.6-inch infotainment display
- Heated and ventilated front and rear seats
- Massage functions for front seats
- 12-speaker Sony audio system
- 540-degree panoramic view camera
- 19-inch alloy wheels
Why consider the Chery Tiggo 8?
I’d recommend the Chery Tiggo 8 because its interior rivals those of much posher cars from the likes of Audi and Mercedes. It’s incredibly practical, too, and its hybrid engine is excellent. There’s a large central infotainment display with a crisp, responsive touchscreen, which is just as well because almost every function is controlled through it.

Space is excellent, making the Tiggo 8 a great choice for families, especially those with lanky teenagers or young children. Rear-seat legroom is generous, so fitting a bulky child seat is easy. The third row isn’t especially spacious, but it’s perfectly adequate for younger kids.
There is one caveat, though: the way the Chery Tiggo 8 drives. The hybrid powertrain is smooth, but the suspension never really settles over rough roads and road noise becomes noticeable at higher speeds. The light steering makes it easy to manoeuvre around town, but on twisty roads it feels vague, making it harder to place the car confidently through corners.
Alternatives to the Chery Tiggo 8
Here are some other alternatives to consider:
- Skoda Kodiaq: Still available as a diesel but plug-in hybrid isn’t offered with seven seats.
- Jaecoo 7: Loads of standard equipment but so-so practicality.
- BYD Seal U: Really spacious but alternatives are nicer inside.
