Colour guide
Solid - Fuji white
Free
There’s just one free-of-charge paint finish available to I-Pace buyers, and that’s Fuji white. It’s a solid colour rather than a metallic, and as such we’d be inclined to spend a bit more on a paint finish that better shows off the I-Pace’s handsome styling.
Metallic - Eiger grey
£735
Grey is the most popular colour for new cars in Britain, and the understated Eiger grey works really well on the I-Pace. Given how many people choose grey cars it’s a good choice for easy resale in a few years.

Metallic - Firenze red
£735
The I-Pace is a quick car with excellent handling, and Firenze red metallic emphasises the car’s sporting side. It looks good whatever the weather, but it really pops on a sunny day. Red is in the top five most popular car colours in the UK, so you won’t be compromising the car’s future value if you pick Firenze red.
Metallic - Ostuni pearl white
£735
Yes, you could order your I-Pace in a solid white paint. But if we were filling out the order form, we’d choose Ostuni pearl white instead. There’s far more depth to the colour than if you take the solid option, and Ostuni pearl white looks subtly different as the light changes.
Metallic - Portofino blue
£735
As blues go, Portofino blue is at the dark end of the scale. It should appeal to anyone who likes greys and blacks but is looking for something a bit different. The understated colour looks classy and subtle without being dull.
Metallic - Santorini black
£735
Santorini black metallic brings out the aggression in the I-Pace’s styling. It really does look a mean and moody car in this colour. Just remember that black cars tend to show the dirt, so you’ll need to clean your I-Pace regularly to keep it looking its best.
Premium metallic - Carpathian grey
£1,595
Jaguar’s premium metallic finishes cost more than regular metallics, but when you see them in the metal you understand why. Carpathian grey looks great, with a depth and shine to the paint that’s a cut above a normal metallic finish. Yes, it’s expensive, but if you take pride in the appearance of your cars it’s very tempting.
SVO bespoke ultra metallic satin - Carpathian grey
£6,115
Jag has developed its SV bespoke paints for those who really must have the best of everything. The satin finish of the Carpathian grey is a definite step up on the regular Carpathian grey, and the exterior brightwork is replaced by a black exterior pack. My word, it is pricey, though.
SVO bespoke ultra metallic satin - Eiger grey
£6,115
The second of two SV bespoke finishes available to Jaguar I-Pace buyers is based on the Eiger grey metallic, but with the Special Vehicle paint boffins working their magic. It is stunning to look at, but the price is eyewatering. You’ll have to really love the metallic satin look to justify spending this kind of money.
