The entry-level Pro Essential trim comes with 18-inch steel wheels with 'Aero' wheel covers. LED headlights are standard with an auto-dip feature, there's cloth upholstery and a leatherette steering wheel, as well as the standard touchscreen infotainment system that also controls all the car's other functions. 10-colour ambient lighting also features, as do rear parking sensors.

In Pro Match form, the Volkswagen ID3 comes with a 58kWh battery pack, which has a potential maximum range of up to 268 miles on one charge. Standard equipment includes 18-inch ‘East Derry’ alloy wheels, wireless smartphone charging, LED Matrix headlights with ‘advanced dynamic light assistance’, LED brake lights with ‘scrolling’ indicators, ‘Discover Pro’ built-in satellite navigation, an illuminated front grille, tinted rear glass, keyless entry and start, a rear-view camera, proactive passenger protection system in combination with the ‘Front Assist’ anti-collision system, and two-zone climate control.

VW's electric hatchback gets 18-inch wheels in Pro form, and a 58kWh battery good for an official 265 miles of range. On the inside you'll find two-zone climate control, heated front seats, wireless phone charging and adaptive cruise control, which is joined by other safety systems including front and rear parking sensors, lane assist and dynamic road sign display.

The VW ID3 Pro S Essential gets the big 77kWh battery pack, which makes for a potential range of up to 356 miles. As standard, it comes with 19-inch ‘Wellington’ alloy wheels, ‘Artvelours’ microfibre seat trim, power-adjusted front seats, an exterior welcome light, heated front seats, and ten-colour cabin ambient lighting.

Pro S specification on a VW ID3 means that it comes with the bigger 77kWh battery, giving a potential range of up to 349 miles. Standard equipment includes 20-inch ‘Sanya’ alloy wheels, heated front seats, LED Matrix headlights with ‘dynamic light assistance’, LED brake lights with ‘scrolling’ indicators, wireless smartphone charging, ambient exterior lighting, tinted rear glass, keyless entry and start, a rear-view camera, and the upgraded forward anti-collision system.

The higher of the two ID3 trim levels gets a much larger battery, upping the range by 82 miles to an official 347 miles. It also gets 19-inch alloy wheels, powered memory front seats with powered lumbar support and a split-fold rear seat
