Colour guide
Solid - White
Free
This solid shade of white is the only no-cost colour option for the Cupra Formentor, and doesn’t feature any special metallic or matt finish. That’s not to say it’s an unappealing option for the sporty-looking crossover SUV, though. With plenty of contrasting design elements around the car’s bodywork, white paint really helps the Cupra to stand out. It should contribute to stronger residual values too, but it’ll be a pain to keep clean.
Metallic - Magnetic tech grey
£630
Magnetic tech grey is one of the more reserved colour options you can have with the Cupra Formentor, but that’s not to say it looks in any way washed out or unattractive. It contrasts particularly smartly against the car’s bronze-coloured badging, and should prove to be a popular colour option amongst buyers on the second hand market. It’ll also be one of the easier colours to keep looking clean over winter, too.

Metallic - Midnight black
£630
More often than not black paint has a tendency to make cars look a bit boxy and heavy, but that’s certainly not the case on the Cupra Formentor. Thanks to its sleek, aggressive styling, this shade of Midnight black really lends the Formentor an athletic, sporty look. The metallic finish adds an additional touch of class too. That said, it’ll be harder to keep clean in winter months.
Metallic - Nevada white
£630
If you’re sold on the idea of choosing a white colour option for your Formentor, but aren’t attracted to the solid finish of the standard colour, then Nevada white might be right up your street. With a sparky metallic finish it’ll help the Formentor look properly attractive in direct sunlight, while still maintaining the car’s overtly sporty image. You’ll have your work cut out for you in terms of keeping it clean, though.
Premium metallic - Desire red
£930
Desire red is easily the most eye-catching colour option you could choose for your Formentor. This deep metallic shade will look particularly smart when the sun comes out, and it also makes for an attractive contrast against the car’s bronze-coloured badging. It might not hold its value quite as well as some of the more conservative colour options, however.
Premium metallic - Graphene grey
£930
Graphene grey is a lighter shade of metallic paint than Magnetic tech grey, but one that’s no less attractive. It arguably lends the car an even sportier, athletic look than that darker shade, and its metallic finish really helps to catch the eye too. It’ll also do a decent job of obscuring road grime and dirt over winter, and should contribute to stronger residual values.
Special matt - Magnetic tech grey
£2,035
This particular variant of Magnetic tech grey features a cool flat matt finish as opposed to a sparkly metallic finish. Matt finishes can be a bit tricky to keep looking clean, but do so and you’re left with a car that looks properly cool. You’ll have to really be sold on the appeal of the matt finish to justify the price jump, however.
