What our customer say

About Ford

Henry Ford didn’t invent the car — that was Karl Benz — but he sure popularised it. The original Ford Model T really did put the world on wheels, and turned this son of humble Irish farmers into one of the richest men of all time.

Of course, we think of Ford as a British company, but it is of course American, and most of the Fords we buy these days are made in Germany or Romania.

Still, it was with British-made Cortinas and Escorts that Ford claimed dominance of the UK market for so many years, with the likes of the Fiesta, Focus, and Mondeo so often locking out the top steps of the car sales podium.

More recently, Ford has slipped from that peak — although the Puma SUV is still a best-seller — and has started to focus on all-electric models such as the Explorer, Mustang Mach-E, and the new Capri, while killing off popular cars such as the Fiesta and Focus.

Why lease a Ford?

Ford has always been the keen driver’s choice in the family car market, especially since the 1990s one-two punch of the original Mondeo and Focus, two of the best-driving ‘ordinary’ cars of all time. That tradition continues now, even into the electric era, with the likes of the Explorer and the Puma.

Leasing a Ford makes huge sense as it’s the most cost-efficient way of driving a new car, and the Blue Oval has long since been all about making good financial sense.

Equally, with Ford launching lots of new electric models — Puma Gen-E, Mustang Mach-E, Explorer, Capri — leasing makes the most sense as it protects you, in part, from the uncertainty around electric car second hand values, and also means you’re not locked into owning an EV if a new battery technology comes along to make everything better.

Leasing also bundles up most of your monthly motoring costs into one simple payment, which makes lots of sense from a budgeting point of view.

Returning a leased car, Ford or otherwise, early is always tricky, and it can often involve costly penalty clauses. Check your lease agreement fine print.
It can sometimes be possible to extend a lease, but in general leasing companies would prefer you came back and started a new lease, rather than extending an existing one.
It can be really tricky to get out of a Ford — or any brand — lease early. There are sometimes options to do so, but they often involve costly penalty payments.
This can be possible, but it will depend on the fine print of your particular leasing agreement. In general, you can’t sell a leased car because you don’t actually own it — the leasing company does.
