Save over £4,800 on a new Ford Kuga*
The Ford Kuga usually starts at £33,315, but you can get it through Carwow from £30,373. This biggest saving is on the Sound Edition version, with £4,809 off at the time of writing. I believe this is a good deal because the self-charging hybrid version gives you the best balance of usability, economy, and performance. This version also comes with a driver assistance pack which includes features such as adaptive cruise control, a lane-keeping system, and an active park assist.
Why should you consider the Ford Kuga?
The Ford Kuga is one of the few family-sized SUVs that’s genuinely fun to drive once you’ve dropped the kids to school. In terms of looks, it has slim, high-set LED headlights, a prominent grille, and is overall very stylish.
On the inside, you get a big, bright 13.0-inch touchscreen. The only downside is that Ford has ditched physical air conditioning controls, which gives the screen slightly too much to do, and which isn’t as convenient when you’re on the move.
The Kuga’s boot of up to 526 litres is big enough for holiday suitcases and a big shop, but alternatives do offer considerably more luggage space if you need more space. It also has a broad choice of engines – you can pick from a basic 1.5-litre petrol engine, a 2.5-litre self-charging hybrid, or a plug-in hybrid with up to 41 miles of electric range when you plug it in and charge it up. Don’t expect this in diesel form, though.
Ford Kuga alternatives

- Hyundai Tucson: This has excellent interior quality and a huge boot, but the looks are a bit jarring.
- Kia Sportage: This has roomy back seats and boot, but the Ford Kuga is much more fun to drive.
- Skoda Kodiaq: The Kuga is more fun to drive, but the boot in this is way bigger with up to 910 litres capacity.
