Highlights on the convenience tech front include a reversing camera, adaptive cruise control and keyless start and entry.

A special launch edition of the Compass, the First Edition comes with 20-inch alloy wheels, LED matrix headlights, an illuminated grille, privacy rear glass, wireless phone charging, electric tailgate, ambient lighting and a rear-view camera.

Opt for a Jeep Compass in Summit spec, and in addition to the features from the Altitude spec you’ll get leather upholstery, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, front and rear parking sensors and ventilated front seats. Cosmetic touches like larger 19-inch alloys, rear privacy glass and a two-tone roof help Summit models stand out over Altitude cars, too. This is also the top-of-the-range trim if you decide to go for a front-wheel drive Jeep Compass - there are two more trims available for the all-wheel drive plug-in hybrid version.
