Opt for the Premium V-Class and you get smart 19-inch alloy wheels and sporty-looking bumpers on the outside. Inside there's a 12.3-inch infotainment display and digital instrument screen, as well as wireless phone charging and leather upholstery. You also get the Winter Pack as standard, which adds a heated windscreen, steering wheel and front seats.

The Premium AMG Line trim brings some sporty style to the V-Class, with more aggressive-looking exterior body panels outside and carbon-fibre trim inside. The front grille gets a star pattern and an LED light strip, while the brake callipers get Mercedes-Benz lettering.

The Exclusive version of the Mercedes V-Class adds a Driving Assistance package, 360-degree camera and panoramic roof to the car's AMG Line trim. Inside in a Burmester sound system, refrigerator, luxury front seats and massaging.

Entry-level V-Class Marco Polo models come with heated front seats, climate control, 19-inch alloy wheels, adaptive cruise control and a 12.3-inch infotainment display. Just as important on a camper van are its amenities - in this spec’s case, there’s auxiliary heating, a built-in kitchenette, a fold-out table and a mattress for the bottom double bed.

You don’t get any extra features in AMG Line models over the regular V-Class Marco Polo, so both cars are identical when it comes to their camper van credentials. If you want to inject a bit more pizzazz to the Marco Polo design, though, then this trim’s sporty bodykit and shiny alloy wheels may be worth paying extra for over the standard camper.
