The results are in for the 2024 Driver Power owner satisfaction survey, and the Dacia Duster has been crowned the best car to own in the UK. Customers love the value-for-money, as well as the straight-forward interior controls.
Best cars to own in the UK 2024 revealed
The results of the 2024 Driver Power survey are in, and now we can take a look at the best cars to own in the UK as voted for by their owners.
The previous-generation Dacia Duster has taken the top spot, with owners being particularly pleased with the car’s simple cabin layout, practicality and class-leading value for money. This was followed by the Tesla Model 3, Toyota Yaris and Toyota RAV4, with the Mini Hatchback sneaking into the top 5.

- Mini Hatchback
- Peugeot 208
- Mazda CX-5
- Peugeot 2008
- Citroen C5 Aircross
- Ford Puma
The Tesla Model 3 actually took the top spot in three categories: Powertrain, Economy and Running Costs and Safety. The Skoda Kodiaq also came first in the Interior and Comfort, Space and Reliability and Build Quality categories, however low scores for its engine range and running costs meant it fell short of the top 10 overall.
