I’d recommend grabbing a Tesla Model 3 because it gives you excellent range, strong performance and plenty of practicality. The Long Range rear-wheel drive version can manage around 374 miles on a single charge, while the 590-litre boot and useful frunk make it a great family car.
The minimalist cabin takes some getting used to, but its large touchscreen is slick and there’s plenty of standard kit, including heated seats, wireless charging and a panoramic glass roof.
It’s comfortable and refined to drive too, with light steering and little road noise at motorway speeds. Yes, the interior isn’t as upmarket compared to some German alternatives, but the Model 3 remains an appealing choice for an electric family saloon.
