The Match version of the ID4 electric SUV comes with a rear-view camera, heated front seats, keyless entry and start, wireless smartphone charging, ‘Artvelours’ microfibre seat upholstery, and a ‘climate windscreen,’ which is designed to assist when defrosting or keeping fogging-up at bay. As standard, the Match gets 18-inch steel wheels, but if you upgrade to the ID4 Match with the 77kWh battery, you get 19-inch ‘Hamar’ alloy wheels, as well as LED Matrix headlights, two-tone paint finish, an electric tailgate, and LED brake lights with ‘scrolling’ indicators. There’s also the option of an all-wheel drive two-motor ID4 Match.

The lack of alloy wheels may be disappointing on a car as pricey as this, though the entry-level ID.4 does try and make up for this in other areas. In Life spec, it comes as standard with climate control, keyless entry, ambient interior lighting and heated front seats. There’s also adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors and safety aids like a lane keep assist.

On Style cars, the 18-inch steel wheels from the standard spec are replaced with identically-sized alloy items, and the car also gets as standard a heated windscreen, bright Matrix LED headlights and a reversing camera. Plumping for the Style spec adds a wireless smartphone charger and a heated steering wheel, too.

The sporty GTX version of the VW ID.4 gets 20-inch alloy wheels, climate control, heated wing mirrors, keyless entry, cruise control and a head-up display unit. Being a performance-oriented model, the ID.4 GTX gets a sporty suspension setup for improved body control around corners and a powerful all-wheel drive electric motor setup.
