Solid - Vapour grey

Vapour Grey is the only no-cost colour option available on the V90, but that’s not to say it’s one to be avoided. Volvo says it’s inspired by windswept Scandinavian limestone houses, but you’ll just have to take Volvo at its word on that front. It should do a decent job of masking road grime, and being a conservative colour option it’ll prove popular on the used market.

Metallic - Birch light

Metallic - Bright silver
£700
Metallic - Denim blue
£700
Denim Blue is as colourful as it gets with the V90. If you don’t want some sort of variation on black, silver, grey or white - this is your only option. It’s a classy, reserved shade of blue, but one that the V90 wears really rather smartly. It is very dark in colour though, so there’s a good chance that it’ll show up a fair amount of muck and grime over the colder winter months.

Metallic - Magic blue

Metallic - Maple brown

Metallic - Mussel Blue

Metallic - Onyx black
£700
Onyx Black is by a very classy shade indeed. Oftentimes black colours have a tendency to make a car look a bit washed out and heavy, but the V90 wears this Onyx Black colour really rather tidily. That said, you’ll have your work cut out for you in terms of keeping it looking spotless over winter, and any scratches you might pick up will be all the more visible. Still, it’ll prove to be a popular choice amongst used buyers.
Metallic - Osmium grey
£700
Metallic - Pebble grey
£700
Metallic - Pine grey
£700
Metallic - Platinum grey
£700
This dark shade of metallic grey lends the V90 an exceptionally classy and understated look that looks properly premium. It features undertones of brown that Volvo says lends the colour a velvety finish, and we’d be inclined to believe them on that front. As with all conservative colour choices, it should have a positive effect on the car’s residual values too.
Metallic - Savile grey
£700
Metallic - Thunder grey
£700
Metallic - Twilight bronze
£700
Metallic - Bright Dusk
£715
This vivid shade of metallic silvery features rose gold undertones for a warm, luxurious appearance. Being a lighter shade it should do a decent job of obscuring any muck and grime that you’ll inevitably pick up when the weather turns too. It should prove to be a popular colour amongst second-hand buyers too.
Metallic - Crystal white
£715
This silky shade of white features a pearl-effect finish for a properly classy appearance. It’ll show up a huge amount of dirt during the winter though, so be prepared to put in a fair amount of work to keep it looking clean and spotless. Being an extremely light shade, it makes for a nice contrast against some of the V90’s darker exterior trim elements too.
Metallic - Silver Dawn
£715
This classic shade of silver is one that the Volvo V90 wears to very classy effect. There are subtle yellow and blue undertones that’ll really shine through when the car’s exposed to direct sunlight, and it’ll do a good job of masking any muck and grime you’ll pick up when driving on wet roads.
