There’s a new Audi TT! Gorgeous concept previews future sports car

If you thought modern Audis were starting to look a bit fussy, this new one could be just what you’re looking for. It’s called the concept C, and it’s a show car which will inspire the design of future models.

It could also preview a future TT, following the death of that model back in 2024. It’ll almost certainly be an electric sports car, but it’s likely to be a few years off yet.

New Audi Concept C design

Looks may be subjective, but this could be the best-looking car Audi has made for years. A lot of modern cars are getting increasingly overstyled, with unnecessary creases and lines strewn over the body, but the Concept C is clean, simple and yet still modern.

It also bears more than a passing resemblance to the original Audi TT, with a similar bubble-shaped silhouette to that car. Those six-spoke alloy wheels also look like they were inspired by the first TT.

Up front you have slim LED headlights which are integrated seamlessly into a pair of vertical vents. These then frame the slim, upright grille to give this car’s nose a bluff appearance.

A single crease runs from the front wing, down the door and over the Concept C’s wide hips at the rear. It has a muscular stance, something which is accentuated by the large lower diffuser.

There are similarities to be drawn between this and the Jaguar Type 00 concept at the rear, because neither car has a rear window. The Audi also has similar louvres to the Jag.

New Audi Concept C interior

The Concept C’s interior design continues on the minimalist theme, and it previews a new cabin layout from Audi.

The light grey fabric makes it look nice and bright inside, and it’s stripped back to the bare essentials. You get some buttons for the climate control, a couple of rotary dials and that’s your lot.

Audi has also put a big emphasis on quality in the cabin quality. The metallic trim is made from anodized aluminium, and Audi says it’s engineered the buttons to operate with a precise click. Certainly sounds better than the haptic touch panels you get in current Audi models.

New Audi Concept C: what does it mean?

Well it means a couple of things. Firstly, this is just a concept car, meaning it won’t go into production exactly how you see it. However, Audi says that this will inspire future production cars.

One of these cars could be a new Audi TT, which is great news for those who were gutted to see the old car killed off back in 2024. A future TT will almost certainly be electric though, and you’ll probably be waiting a couple of years before a production version comes along.

As for other Audi models which could be inspired by this car, it’s hard to say right now. Audi has recently launched new versions of the Q3, Q5 and the A5, however the A3 hasn’t been updated for a while. Perhaps the next version of this family hatchback will look something like this.
