Solid colours

Ibis White – £0

Ibis White is a simple yet smart colour and complements the Q5’s chrome grille and large rims. It won’t hide dirt or mud very well so you’ll need to budget for plenty of car washes. That said, this colour will be easy to sell on to the used market. This no-cost colour is offered on Q5 SE and Sport trims but not top-spec S-Line models.

Brilliant Black – £0

Popular with many second-hand buyers, black is a classy colour and easy to sell on once you’re done with the car. Dirt and mud will show up fairly easily, however, so you’ll need to get well acquainted with the bucket and sponge. This no-cost colour is offered on SE and Sport trims but not top-spec S-Line models.

Metallic colours

Manhattan Grey – £645

If you want an understated colour that still accentuates your Q5, Manhattan Grey is a solid bet. Trips to the carwash should be infrequent thanks to its dark grey hue. What’s more, you’re unlikely to hear any complaints from the second-hand market so it’ll be easy to sell on.

Floret Silver – £645

This metallic colour is a pleasing light silver. It’ll make you SUV stand out on the street and should be easy to sell to the second-hand market. If having a clean car is a priority, however, look elsewhere because Floret Silver will need to be washed quite often.

Matador Red – £645

Matador Red is comparatively bold in this company and adds a touch of sportiness to the Q5’s otherwise restrained exterior. When it comes to selling on, this shade might not be everyone’s cup of tea so could be a little tougher to shift compared to more subdued colours. A moderate amount of cleaning will be needed to keep it looking good.

Monsoon Grey – £645

A slightly lighter shade than Manhattan Grey, Monsoon Grey looks equally sharp and will do a good job of hiding grime. Like other greys, it shouldn’t be hard to sell on to the used market.

Utopia Blue – £645

Not too dissimilar to teal, Utopia Blue will liven up the Q5’s exterior and make a good contrast to the large silver grille. This understated blue colour won’t have many critics on the second-hand market and should hide dirt from British fairly well.

Moonlight Blue – £645

One of the more desirable optional colours. Moonlight Blue will go well with the light-coloured grille and set you apart from the normal black, white and grey SUVs on the road. This slightly darker blue colour won’t give you much trouble to sell on and will hide dirt quite effectively.

Mythos Black – £645

Mythos Black gives the Q5 a smart, sophisticated appearance that accentuates the Q5’s silver accents. Black is always a safe bet when it comes to selling on but be sure to wash it regularly because black doesn’t hide grime very effectively.

Java Brown – £645

Java Brown is one for the more extrovert buyer. The family SUV market is traditionally quite conservative so some used buyers might be put off this more unusual shade. On the plus side, Java Brown will hide dirt and mud from the road extremely well.

Navarra Blue – £645

A slightly richer blue than Moonlight Blue, Navarra Blue echoes performance Audis of the past. This metallic paint shouldn’t require too much maintenance to keep it looking fresh and will be a very easy colour to sell on.

Azores Green – £645

Like Java Brown, Azores Blue is one of the more out-there colours in the range. When it comes to the used market, it might divide opinion so might not sell itself as effectively as more understated colours. As a darker hue, it should hide grime quite effectively.

Special colours

Daytona Grey – £645

Daytona Grey is the only pearlescent colour Audi offers for the Q5 and is only available on S-Line models. Pearlescent elements in the paint add extra sparkle to help it stand out a little better. Used buyers will flock to this model making it easy to sell on and its darkness means only infrequent washing will be needed.
