Mini Clubman sizes and dimensions guide

The Mini Clubman is a stylish sporty hatchback that handles sharply, has an efficient range of engines and offers good levels of refinement and features a barn-door-style boot. Read our dimensions guide to discover whether the Mini is just the right size for your garage – and life.

Mini Clubman external dimensions

The Clubman is about the same length as rivals such as a VW Golf and feels like a city car, however it is slightly narrower than some rivals. The Mini’s relatively low height makes it have a sporty stance – sitting low and wide.

Length 4,253mm
Width including mirrors 1,932mm
Height 1,425mm
Wheelbase 3,982mm

Mini Clubman interior dimensions

Thanks to a 270mm longer wheelbase, there’s more room for rear-seat passengers in the Clubman than Mini 5-door models. Two adults can sit comfortably in the back, but three abreast would be a squeeze.

Mini Clubman boot space

The Mini is down on boot space compared to the Audi A3 (380 litres) and VW Golf (380 litres), but this shouldn’t make a big difference in everyday use. When all the seats are folded down, the Mini is almost able to match the Golf’s maximum luggage capacity of 1,270 litres.

Mini Clubman turning circle and fuel tank

For a small family car, the turning circle is larger than rivals such as the Peugeot 308  (10.4 metres) but is not far off of the VW Golf’s 11.1 metres. This could prove problematic around town, turning what would be a three-point turn for rivals into a five-point turn on some roads.

With a 48-litre fuel tank, diesel models should be able to travel more than 700 miles on a single tank. Opt for a performance JCW petrol car and you’ll be lucky to get 450 miles from a tank of fuel.

Mini Clubman towing capacity

Clubman One models are capable of towing a braked trailer up to 1,300kg. The more powerful Cooper S or Cooper S D with four-wheel-drive can tow 1,500kg.
