BMW has revealed a new concept called the Touring Coupe, and it’s essentially a shooting brake version of the Z4 roadster. Read on for all you need to know.

This is the new BMW Concept Touring Coupe. It’s a luxury shooting brake based on the Z4 roadster, and it features a 3.0-litre straight-six engine and a luxurious interior.
New BMW Concept Touring Coupe design
The new BMW Concept Touring Coupe is based on the BMW Z4 sports car, so it looks almost exactly the same as that car from the front.
It has the same long bonnet and sleek LED headlights, although the grille has been tweaked for the Touring Coupe. It has different vertical slats, as well as a bronze surround.
It’s the side profile where you see the main change here. BMW hasn’t made a shooting brake like this since the Z3 of the late 1990s, and the Touring Coupe has a similar boxy rear end to that car.
The wheels are also unique to this car, with 20-inch alloys on the front and 21-inches on the rear. There’s a subtle roof spoiler at the back of the car, as well as a tailgate which is unique to the Coupe with an aggressively angled ridge below the narrow rear window.

The cabin of the new BMW Concept Touring Coupe is based on the BMW Z4’s, however it’s been re-finished for a more luxurious feel.
The seats, door cards and centre console are finished in high-quality Italian leather, and there’s chunky braided stitching which looks more premium than anything you get on the standard Z4.

Bad news for fans of this new BMW shooting brake, it’s just a one-off concept car with no plans to put it into production. You’ll just have to make do with the convertible BMW Z4.
