New Dacia electric SUV: could the Hipster concept preview more than just a city car?

Car changing is a big deal
The Dacia Hipster concept is an awesome-looking small car, but we reckon it could also look cool as an SUV. Here are some images we’ve created to give you an idea of what a Hipster SUV could be like.
When I went to see the Dacia Hipster in late 2025, I loved the way this quirky little city car looked. It’s a great bit of design, and this got me thinking – I wonder what other cars could share this styling.
The Hipster’s boxy shape and rugged vibe would translate brilliantly to an SUV, so we had a go at creating a couple of renders showing what a Hipster SUV could look like.
Dacia Hipster SUV: what we reckon it would look like
The Dacia Hipster was revealed as a tiny urban runaround, but there’s nothing to suggest that this funky new styling will stop with this car. I could certainly imagine it as a jacked-up crossover.
The boxy front end and pixel headlights make it look rugged, and this is helped by the chunky lower bumper and black plastic cladding. We’ve kept the purple side details as a nod to the Hipster as well.
Where would this car fit in?
The Dacia Hipster is a small, affordable electric car, and Dacia’s current lineup is missing an electric SUV. It would therefore make sense that this would be an electric alternative to the Dacia Duster.
Interior: functional but stylish
The Hipster’s interior would also carry over well to an SUV, because it’s focussed on being rugged and practical. You can fit a washing machine in the back of the tiny Hipster, so an SUV would likely offer cavernous levels of luggage space.
Expect to see a simple dashboard layout, with a phone holder on the dashboard and plenty of customisable accessories courtesy of Dacia’s clever YouClip system. This consists of a load of anchor points throughout the cabin which you can use to mount things like additional storage pouches, portable speakers and interior lights.
Conclusion: unrealistic? Not really
This Dacia Hipster SUV only exists in fantasy land at the moment, but it wouldn’t be much of a stretch to think that something like this could exist in the future. Car buyers love SUVs, and they’re also looking for cars which look cool and have affordable price tags.
A Hipster SUV could therefore have massive appeal – we reckon it would make a lot of sense.
