Dacia has recently revealed a handful of new and updated models, and news editor Jamie Edkins has been to see them all. Here’s everything you can expect to see from Dacia over the coming months.

Those who know me will know that I love a Dacia. There’s something about their no-nonsense approach to value for money which I find really charming, and if I was after a budget-friendly daily driver then a Duster hybrid would be at the top of my shopping list.

And Dacia has a few new and exciting cars coming up which I travelled to France to check out in person. Below is a rundown of everything the brand is doing over the next few months and years, and under each car is a link to my full report.

Remember, you can buy a brand new or used car right here on Carwow. And you can sell your car, too. We’re here to help you through every step of your car-changing journey.

New Dacia Hipster

This is Dacia’s vision for a future affordable electric car. It’s called the Hipster, and it may be tiny on the outside but it’s packing a surprising amount of interior space and the cabin is a properly funky place to sit.

It’s properly stripped back to the bare essentials, with just a phone mount and a small driver’s display on the dashboard. That said, you can attach accessories such as a bluetooth speaker and a cupholder to various mounting points around the interior. This is just a concept for now, however it could preview a new production model in the next few years.

New Dacia Sandero

Good news! The Dacia Sandero has been given a few updates to increase its kerb appeal. Outside it’s got new front and rear lights, tweaked bumpers and some new paint schemes. You also get a new steering wheel inside, as well as a larger infotainment system.

An even bigger change comes under the bonnet of the jacked-up Sandero Stepway, because it’s getting the 155hp hybrid engine from the Duster. That’s 55hp more than the 1.0-litre petrol engine you get as standard, and the ability to drive at low speeds without using the engine will be good for fuel economy as well.

New Dacia Jogger

The Dacia Jogger is the best-value seven seater you can buy, and it’s been given a similar list of upgrades to the Sandero. There are new lights and bumpers, as well as the same technology upgrades as its smaller stablemate.

That 155hp hybrid engine also replaces the 140hp system you get in the current Jogger, and you still have the option of a 1.0-litre petrol engine with a manual gearbox.

Updated Dacia Spring

The Dacia Spring is a tempting proposition if you want a small city car with dirt cheap running costs, but it’s let down by the way it drives. It rolls way too much in the corners, and it’s a bit too slow for motorway driving.

Well now it’s been dealt a handful of upgrades to try and combat these issues. A new anti-roll bar has been added to deal with the leaning, and there are two new motor options, one of which has 100hp. That’s up from 65hp in the outgoing model, so it should make a marked difference.
