Land Rover now offers a “For Dogs” package on the Discovery to turn it into the perfect car for your canine companion.

This is the updated Land Rover Discovery. There are two special-edition models – the Gemini and the Tempest – which have been built to celebrate this off-roader’s 35th birthday.

These cars get unique paint schemes, different wheels and a selection of clever features, and there are accessory packs which you can add to make your discovery suit your needs, including one for pampering your pooch.
New Land Rover Discovery “For Dogs”
The Land Rover Discovery is available with a range of accessory packs to suit various lifestyles. There’s one for days at the beach which gets sunshades for all the rear windows, as well as a road trip pack which has additional storage spaces and an electric coolbag for your snacks.
Then there’s the “For Dogs” pack. A whopping 61% of Discovery customers say that their dog has an influence on their car buying decision.
So the For Dogs pack decks out the back of your Discovery to accommodate your furry friend. You get a quilted boot liner, a foldable pet carrier, a spill-resistant water bowl and even a portable rinse system – a shower for cleaning up mucky pups before they get back in the car.
New Land Rover Discovery Tempest and Gemini Editions
The Land Rover Discovery is celebrating its 35th birthday, and to mark the occasion there are two new special editions.
The Discovery Tempest is available in two different shades of grey or a dark blue, and you can have a matte finish protective film applied over the whole car – something which is unique to this model. It also gets a copper-effect contrasting roof, or you can spec it in gloss black.
Or you can go for the Gemini, which is designed for family adventures. There’s a coolbox between the front seats, tablet mounts to keep rear passengers entertained and three-zone climate control. Six different colours are available, including a dark red which is exclusive to this car.
Both the Tempest and the Gemini get a 3.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine with 350hp and 700Nm of torque, and they can tow up to 3,500kg – making it an ideal choice for caravanners.
