The entry-level Classic trim has a good level of standard equipment, including LED front and rear lights, as well as a nifty circular infotainment system with built-in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There's some useful assistance tech too, such as lane-keeping assistance, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control and a reversing camera. The interior has a cool recycled material across the dashboard.

Step up to the Exclusive trim and equipment levels don't change much, though you get larger 18-inch alloy wheels, sport seats and an anthracite roof lining. You also get slight changes to the interior and exterior styling to give the Countryman Electric a more sophisticated look.

Top-spec Sport models don't have any extra performance, but you do get styling cues inspired by the firm's high-power John Cooper Works models. There are 19-inch alloy wheels and sportier body styling on the outside, while inside you get a unique steering wheel.
