Skoda may only have a couple of electric models right now, but there are more on the way. News editor Jamie Edkins is going to walk you through the current and future lineup.

Skoda has long been the go-to badge if you want a comfortable, well-made, practical and affordable car. But if you’re ready to switch to an EV then your choices within this brand’s range are limited.

It only currently sells two electric cars: the Enyaq SUV and the slightly smaller Elroq. However, there are some more electric Skoda models coming this year and beyond, and I’m going to tell you everything you need to know about them so you can decide which is right for you.

Current Skoda electric cars: the Elroq is the best

Let’s kick off with the Skoda EVs you can buy right now, starting with the best one.

Skoda Elroq

The Skoda Elroq is our favourite electric car from Skoda, and it’s also one of the best all-round EVs. It costs from a shade under £32,000, making it slightly cheaper than a Volvo EX30, but it offers acres of rear legroom and a roomy 470-litre boot.

It may not be quite as exciting to look at as something like a Hyundai Ioniq 5 or a Renault Scenic, but the Elroq is properly comfortable to drive and comes with loads of clever interior storage solutions. As a family car, the Elroq is hard to beat.

Skoda Enyaq

But what if you want even more space? Well that’s easy: you go for the bigger Skoda Enyaq. For an extra £7,000 you get a 585-litre boot, a full 100 litres more than you get in a Kia EV6, and it gets additional rear legroom over the Elroq as well.

It even looks almost exactly the same as its smaller stablemate, meaning it’s still not going to set your world on fire. The Enyaq ranks below the Elroq simply because it costs that bit more for just a bit of added space, which only the busiest of families will realistically need. It’s still a super-comfy and great-value electric SUV.

Future Skoda electric cars: are these worth waiting for?

If there’s not currently an electric Skoda to suit your needs, don’t panic. There are a few new models on the way soon which may fit the bill.

New Skoda Epiq: on sale mid-2026

Looking for something more city-friendly? The new Skoda Epiq could be just what you’re looking for. It’s a small electric SUV, about the same size as the petrol-powered Skoda Kamiq, and it’s expected to have a price tag of less than £25,000.

It’ll use a 223hp electric motor powering the front wheels, and the Epiq promises up to 264 miles of range as well. We’ll be driving this new Renault 4 alternative soon and will report back with our verdict.

New Skoda Peaq: reveal coming at the end of 2026

On the other end of the spectrum, Skoda will also be launching a new flagship seven-seat EV by the end of 2026. It’s called the Peaq, and it’ll share a lot of design features with the Vision 7S concept we saw a couple of years ago.

Technical details are thin on the ground for now, but we expect it to use the same collection of parts as the current Enyaq. This means it could have an 82kWh battery pack providing around 350 miles of range.

New Skoda Vision 0: coming before 2030

Looking a bit further ahead we have this: the Skoda Vision 0. It’s just a concept car for now, but it gives you an idea of what a future electric estate car, possibly the next Octavia, could look like.

There are no technical details for now, but I have been to look around the Vision 0 concept in person. In true Skoda fashion there are plenty of clever features dotted around the cabin, including some hidden storage bins in the boot opening. The production version of this car will be toned-down slightly, but even so I’m just excited to see Skoda keeping the estate car alive in this SUV age.
