The new Vauxhall Astra, Astra Sports Tourer (estate) and Grandland are available as hybrids, including self-charging and plug-in hybrid models.
Vauxhall Astra
The Vauxhall Astra is available as a plug-in hybrid in GS, GSe and Ultimate trim levels. It combines a 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine with 180PS and an 81kW electric motor. The official distance it can drive on purely electric power only is 39 miles.
Vauxhall Astra GSe
The Vauxhall Astra GSe (Grand Sport Electric) plug-in hybrid is the sporty model in the range with a turbo petrol engine and 81kW battery to give a combined power of 225PS with 360 Nm of torque. It is available as a hatchback or sports tourer. The GSe has a unique look and specification, including a sports chassis with enhanced handling and recalibrated sports steering, exclusive ESP settings, performance heated front seats, 18-inch gloss black bi-colour diamond-cut alloy wheels, IntelliLux adaptive LED pixel headlights, and unique front and rear bumpers. It has performance, power and sporty looks, but as a plug-in hybrid also offers up to 39 miles of electric power.
Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer
The Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer is available as a plug-in hybrid in GS, GSe and Ultimate trim levels. It combines a 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine with 180PS and an 81kW electric motor to give a combined output of 225PS. The official distance it can drive on purely electric power is 39 miles. The Sports Tourer is great if you need extra space to take a dog or large loads. It has a maximum capacity of 1,634 litres.
Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer GSe
The Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer GSe (Grand Sport Electric) plug-in hybrid is the sporty yet practical model in the range with a turbo petrol engine and 81kW battery to give a combined power of 225PS and 360 Nm of torque. The GSe has a unique look and specification, including a sports chassis with enhanced handling and recalibrated sports steering, exclusive ESP settings, performance heated front seats, 18-inch gloss black bi-colour diamond-cut alloy wheels, IntelliLux adaptive LED pixel headlights, and unique front and rear bumpers. Vauxhall Grandland
The Vauxhall Grandland is an SUV with a choice of both hybrid and plug-in hybrid engines.
The self-charging hybrid has a 1.2 -litre (136PS) three-cylinder, turbo petrol engine with a six-speed automatic transmission. It is more economical than the standard model (51.3 on the combined high cycle (compared to 44.1 mpg on the standard turbo automatic) and lower emissions of between 124 and 127 g/km (compared to 144 and 147 g/km for the standard turbo automatic).
The plug-in hybrid version has an eight-speed automatic transmission with a four-cylinder, 1.6-litre (180PS) turbo petrol engine and an 81.2kW electric motor. This gives a combined power output of 225 PS and maximum combined torque of 360 Nm. It has a range of 36 miles (WLTP) on its battery. It overs lower emissions of 31g/km (combined).
Vauxhall Grandland GSe
The Vauxhall Grandland GSe (Grand Sport Electric) plug-in hybrid is an enhanced, sporty model with a driver-focused chassis set-up and a turbo petrol engine and two electric motors with a combined power output of 300PS and 520 Nm of torque. With an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard, this model guarantees instant acceleration.
Vauxhall’s Bold & Pure styling makes the Grandland GSe hybrid look dynamic and sporty. It has a unique rear diffusor in high-gloss black, 19 inch, two-tone, diamond cut alloy wheels, black roof and enhanced handling thanks to unique suspension settings and improved steering.
