Car changing is a big deal
This car isn’t only very practical, it’s great value for money too. What’s more is that you can buy one brand-new for less than £15,000 through Carwow.
Good news! My pick for today’s deal of the day is a no-frills hatchback that has a spacious and practical interior and is comfortable to drive. I’m talking about the Dacia Sandero, and you can buy one new from less than £15,000 through Carwow.

Save over £1,300 on a new Dacia Sandero*

The Dacia Sandero usually starts at £14,715, but you can get it through Carwow from £14,310. This biggest saving is on the Journey version, with £1,397 off at the time of writing. I think this a great deal because it’s the top-spec version of the Sandero, and it comes with climate control, an electronic parking brake, and a blind spot warning. You can also tell this spec of Sandero apart from less expensive versions by the 16-inch wheels and shark fin-style antenna on the roof.
Why should you consider the Dacia Sandero?
While most small cars feel like they’re trying too hard, the Dacia Sandero just gets the job done. It’s a cheaper alternative to the Renault Clio or Vauxhall Corsa, doesn’t try to stand out, and if you want a bit more style, there’s the Stepway with its SUV vibes – though it’s still lowkey compared to something such as a Peugeot 208.

Inside, it’s better than I expected. The cabin feels solid, the dashboard fabric adds a nice touch, and there’s plenty of space front and back. The seats aren’t super cushy for long drives, but you get a great view from the driver’s seat, and my passengers seem happy enough too. The boot is fine. Nothing fancy, but it works.

Driving it is simple and stress-free. The steering is light, it’s easy to park, and it’s comfortable on longer trips. Overall, the Sandero isn’t flashy, but that’s the charm – it’s honest, practical, and doesn’t break the bank.

Dacia Sandero alternatives
Still not convinced? Here are some other options for you to consider:
- Hyundai i10: Good-sized boot and back seats but it has a dire automatic gearbox.
- Peugeot 208: Fantastic interior but alternatives are much cheaper.
- Skoda Fabia: All-around practicality but cabin quality isn’t the best.
