The new Hyundai Santa Fe has been revealed, and this alternative to the Kia Sorento and Skoda Kodiaq has been given a clean-sheet redesign.
The exterior design is all-new, and very modern-looking, and there’s a more upmarket interior as well. The Santa Fe will be fully revealed in August.
New Hyundai Santa Fe design
This new Hyundai Santa Fe is a radical departure from the outgoing model, with a similar squared-off design to the SEVEN concept.
It has an upright front end design with a funky LED light bar across the grille. The H-shaped daytime running lights are new as well, and there are some large air intakes in the lower bumper.
The boxy theme continues down the side, and it has a more rugged appearance than the outgoing car thanks to some black cladding and chunky roof rails. The wheel arches also have a squared-off design to keep things looking interesting.
The rear end is completely flat, with some square tail lights mounted quite low down on the tailgate. You also have the words Santa Fe spelled out across the back.
New Hyundai Santa Fe interior and infotainment
The cabin of the new Hyundai Santa Fe looks a lot more upmarket than the outgoing car’s, with a similar design to the Hyundai Ioniq 6 saloon.
The dashboard is dominated by two 12.3-inch screens behind one sheet of glass, integrating the digital driver’s display and the infotainment system. There’s also a touch-sensitive panel lower down for your climate control.
This is a three-row seven-seater SUV, just like the current car, and you can have some posh-feeling nappa leather on the seats. You also have recycled plastics around the cabin for some extra eco brownie points.
How much is the new Hyundai Santa Fe?
Full details, including engine specs, will be revealed for the new Hyundai Santa Fe in August, with sales likely to start in early 2024.
Expect the price to rise over the current car, with a figure of around £50,000 likely.
