What I really like about this deal is how it takes a keenly priced car and makes it even more affordable. Even with no discount the E5 Pure is very good value, with a list price of £27,505. Buy through Carwow to shave more than £1,400 from the asking price.
The entry-level Pure model comes with a long list of standard kit, including a 13.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 540-degree camera system and adaptive cruise control.
Jaecoo keeps things simple with one motor and battery. The 207hp motor gives a lively 0-62mph time of 7.7 seconds, quick enough for confident overtaking. With a 61.1kWh battery, the official range is 248 miles.
Why consider the Jaecoo E5?
Because it’s so much car for the money. I’d put the Jaecoo in a similar bracket to the Peugeot E-2008, which starts from £29,240. So the E5 is cheap for what you get, especially at today’s deal price.
Low cost aside, the Jaecoo’s cabin is a highlight for me. There’s plenty of space for people and luggage when many alternatives are cramped.
