Even in its entry-level guise, the Range Rover Sport feels quite plush inside. Leather upholstery, climate control, a heated steering wheel and power adjustment for the front and rear seats come as standard on this spec, as do the upmarket Meridian sound system and adaptive air suspension. It’s worth bearing in mind that you can’t get a plug-in hybrid Range Rover Sport S - if this trim really appeals to you, you can only get it with a diesel engine.

The all-new Range Rover Sport line-up opens with a massive amount of kit. The infotainment system has a 13.1-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity and Amazon Alexa. Plus there's a high-quality Meridian stereo and wireless charging pad. You sit on sumptuous leather seats, heated with 20-way electric adjustment and memory in the front, heated and power reclining in the back. A tribute to the Battersea Power Station, the limited-edition Range Rover Sport features bespoke exterior etched details, gloss black exterior styling, 22-inch alloys in two-tone satin and gloss black and trim-specific script running along the centre console.

This is marked out from the regular SE trim level by a sporty-looking bodykit consisting of deeper bumpers, side skirts and rear spoiler, and the 'dark satin' finish on the 21-inch wheels. Standard features match those of the SE.

You can spot the Autobiography by its contrasting black roof and 22-inch wheels. Step inside over illuminated tread plates and you'll find 'natural black veneer' trim and semi-aniline leather. There's extra features, too, including four-zone climate control; 22-way adjustable, massaging, ventilated front seats; ventilated rear seats; opening panoramic roof; head-up and display and a concert quality surround sound stereo.
