Why should you consider a Peugeot e-208?
The Peugeot E-208 is a compact electric hatchback that is an alternative to the Mini Cooper Electric, MG4 and Cupra Born. Its small footprint makes it ideal for city driving, while sharp styling details like Peugeot’s ‘triple-claw’ LED lights and diamond-cut alloys give it plenty of character.
The cabin feels premium, with quality materials and a crisp 10-inch touchscreen, though the seating position won’t suit everyone. Space is limited: rear seats are tight and the 311-litre boot lags behind the MG4 and Cupra Born, though it’s roomier than the Mini Cooper Electric.
Two versions are available: a 50kWh battery with 136hp or a 54kWh unit with 156hp, the latter being the better choice thanks to improved efficiency and range. Around town the e-208 is agile and easy to drive, though alternatives are more engaging on twisty roads.
