What our customer say

About Volvo

Volvo is one of the most famous car brands in the world, having been making — mostly upright and sensible — cars in Gothenburg, in Sweden, since the 1920s.

These days it’s a sophisticated multi-national car maker, still based in Sweden but backed by Chinese billions (Volvo is owned by the huge Geely group, along with Polestar, Lotus, and Proton) and it builds cars on three continents.

Best known for its 1970s and 1980s 245 GL Estate — a car with the style of a Lego brick, but hugely practical and popular — Volvo is the company that sells on safety, having invented the three-point seatbelt and regularly getting the best results from the Euro NCAP crash tests.

More recently, it’s become a much more luxurious brand, taking on the likes of BMW and Mercedes, and while Volvo is increasingly focusing on electric cars — the EX30, EX40, and EX90 for instance — you can also buy more sensible plug-in hybrid models.

Why lease a Volvo?

Volvo is a premium brand these days, so leasing makes a lot of sense as it gives you access to a high-end model without the need for an expensive up-front deposit.

Equally, with Volvo’s focus on electric models, leasing makes lots of sense as it means that you won’t get left behind as EV technology races ahead, and it protects you from the sometimes-uncertain used values of electric cars.

Unlike when you buy on Hire Purchase or PCP, there’s usually no option to keep your car at the end of the lease — it will have to be returned, but leasing companies make that easy to do.

Leasing programmes can also offer other benefits such as fully inclusive packages that cover your servicing, insurance, VED tax, and even fresh sets of tyres.

You can lease your Volvo through Carwow too, and we’ll help you find the best leasing rates, and the best Volvo models.
